1.  What are the documents provided by the Chinese Universities to Indian students at the time of graduation?

Ans: Normally, Indian students need to acquire the following documents:

(i) Clinical Medicine University Certificate

(ii) Migration Certificate

(iii) Student’s Transcript

(iv) Internship completion Certificate

(v) Certificate of Bachelor Degree

(vi) No Criminal record certificate

However, additional documents may also be issued by universities as per prevalent rules and regulations.

 

2.  What is the document attestation process for an Indian student?

Ans: The whole attestation procedure includes following three steps: 

            (i) After receiving required documents from the respective university, the student has to get        them notarized from any notary office of the People’s Republic of China.

            (ii)  Duly notarized documents have to be attested either from the regional Foreign Affairs           Office (FAO) or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in Beijing.

        (iii) Students may upload notarized and attested documents on the Embassy of India, Beijing Website (https://eoibeijing.gov.in) and submit hard copies to the Embassy for attestation at the             address: Embassy of India, No.5 Liang Ma Qiao Bei Jie, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100600   China. For submitting documents to the Embassy, students may book appointment online      through the Embassy of India, Beijing website (https://eoibeijing.gov.in/appointment).

 

3.  What is the fees for notarization and attestation of these documents by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China?

Ans: The fees and charges for notarization by notary offices and attestation by Foreign Affairs Offices are different in every province of China and may be checked through respective offices. 

 

4.  What is the fees charged by the Embassy for attestation of these documents?

Ans: The fees charged by the Embassy of India for attestation of documents currently is 83RMB per document. 5.  How Indian students can get their documents attested by the Embassy of India, Beijing?

Ans: Students can book an appointment on the Embassy of India, Beijing Website (https://www.eoibeijing.gov.in/appointment) for availing attestation service. On the appointment day, they can come directly or may send their authorized representative with duly signed authority letter for submission of documents and payment of attestation fees, for which a receipt will be provided by the Embassy. The same or different authorized person may collect the documents after attestation from the Embassy. It is mandatory for the students or authorized representative to produce the original fee receipt at the time of collection of documents.

 

6.  Whether document attestation facility is available in the Indian consulates in Shanghai and Guangzhou?

Ans: Indian students may also visit the Indian consulates in Guangzhou (https://www.cgiguangzhou.gov.in/) and Shanghai (https://www.cgishanghai.gov.in/) for documents attestation purpose. 7.  How much time is taken by the Embassy of India, Beijing for the attestation of documents?

Ans: The usual time taken by the Embassy of India, Beijing for attestation of documents varies from 1-7 days including the day of submission of documents. However, it is advised that Indian students should keep some time in hand for the completion of attestation process.

 

8.  Can Indian students get the documents attested by the Embassy of India, Beijing in fast track mode or is there any tatkal facility available?

Ans; The Embassy of India, Beijing provides the attestation service on “first come first serve” basis. No tatkal facility is available for the same. 

 

9.  Does the Embassy of India, Beijing send documents to the respective student in China or in India after attestation?

Ans: The Embassy does not send these documents to the concerned student. It is the responsibility of students to submit documents for attestation and collect them after the attestation has been done by the Embassy either in person or through authorized representative.

 

10.  Is the attestation of documents from the Embassy of India, Beijing essential for acceptance in India?

Ans: Yes, only the documents duly attested by the Embassy of India, Beijing are recognized by various Government agencies/departments/medical councils in India. 

 

11.  What is the procedure for verification of documents forwarded by various medical councils in India to the Embassy of India, Beijing?

Ans: When a Foreign Medical Graduate intends to register in any medical council in India, he/she has to submit submits his or her documents to the respective medical council in India. If the concerned student has pursued medical education in China, the medical council, through online means, seeks verification of submitted documents from the Embassy of India, Beijing. Upon receipt of verification request from any medical council in India the Embassy of India, Beijing scrutinizes and forwards these documents to the  University which has awarded degree to the concerned student, with the request to certify those documents. After receiving response and certification from the University, the Embassy of India, Beijing send the verification report to the indenting Medical Council in India.

 

12.  Is the verification of documents sent by the medical universities in China to the respective medical councils sufficient? Is verification from the Embassy also required?

Ans: No, the verification of documents from medical Universities in China is not sufficient. The verification of documents from the Embassy is mandatory for acceptance and recognition in India.

 

13.  Is the verification of documents from the Embassy of India, Beijing essential if a Foreign Medical Graduate intends to register in different medical councils in India?

Ans: Yes, as a usual practice the medical councils, upon receipt of documents for registration from a Foreign Medical Graduate who has pursued his medical degree in China, invariably forward these documents to the Embassy of India, Beijing for verification.

 

14.  Where can a Foreign Medical Graduate get more information regarding attestation of documents and procedure thereof?

15.  Does the Embassy recognizes any person/agent who can assist students in the notary and attestation of their documents from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Embassy?

Ans: Embassy does not recognize any such person or agent. If students authorizes any person to complete attestation procedure and collection of documents on their behalf,  responsibility lies solely with the students. After handing over documents post attestation by the Embassy to the authorized person, respective students bear the responsibility for onward transmission of the documents to them.
