Some recent media reports have mentioned that theGovernment of India is planning to impose Anti-Dumping duty on 93 products fromChina. These reports are factually incorrect.

The current situation is that Anti-Dumping duty isalready in force on 93 products from China comprising of Chemicals &petrochemicals, products of steel & other metals, fibres & yarn,machinery items, rubber or plastic products, electric and electronic items,consumer goods etc. The decision to impose these 93 anti-dumping duties onproducts originating in China were taken over a course of previous 5 years.
