Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission of India, will lead an inter-Ministerial delegation to China next week for the Third Meeting of the India-China Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED).

The Meeting will be held on 17-18 March 2014 in Beijing. It will be co-chaired by Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Mr. Xu Shaoshi, Chairman, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China.

The dialogue will include discussions under five Working Groups on Policy Coordination, Infrastructure, Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection, Hi-Technology, and Energy.

The Strategic Economic Dialogue was set up during the visit of then Premier Wen Jiabao to India in December 2010. The First SED Meeting took place in September 2011 in Beijing, while the next round was held in November 2012 in New Delhi.

While in Beijing, Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia will have other bilateral meetings.
