PRESS RELEASE: Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu's visit to China

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu concluded a six-day visit to China from 12-17 April 2015 at the invitation of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC). Hon'ble Chief Minister visited Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai accompanied by a 44-member official and business delegation.

Hon'ble Chief Minister met with senior political leaders at the Central and Provincial levels during his visit. In Beijing, Hon'ble Chief Minister met with Vice Premier of China Mr. Wang Yang, Minister of IDCPC Mr. Wang Jiarui and Mayor of Beijing Mr. Wang Anshun. In Chengdu, Hon'ble Chief Minister had meetings with Governor of Sichuan Mr. Wei Hong and Mayor of Chengdu Mr. Tang Liangzhi and in Shanghai he met with the Secretary of Shanghai CPC Party Committee Mr. Han Zheng. In addition, Hon'ble CM received provincial delegations from Liaoning and Guizhou in Beijing.The meetings were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere. Hon'ble Chief Minister recalled the successful visit of President Xi Jinping to India last year and conveyed that the upcoming visit of PM Modi will further reinforce mutual ties and take the bilateral partnership to a higher level. Both sides discussed the immense opportunities for fruitful cooperation in Andhra Pradesh.

During the visit, Hon'ble Chief Minister also engaged with a broad cross section of Chinese business representatives at Investment Promotion Forums organized in all the three cities and in a series of one-to-one business meetings with senior entrepreneurs of China. The investment promotion forums saw participation by over 140 companies in each of the three cities. Hon'ble CM invited Chinese enterprises to invest in Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the opportunities that abound, including the potential for cooperation in the building of Amravati, the new Capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
