Protocol between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the the Establishment of Consulates-General at Chengdu and Chennai and the Extension of the Consular district of the Consulate-General of the Republic of India in Guangzhou to include Jiangxi province. |
Indian side would establish a new Consulate General at Chengdu, whereas the Chinese side would establish one at Chennai. It would facilitate enhanced trade and economic engagement, people-to-people exchanges, tourism and would help in providing quicker consular assistance to the nationals of the two countries. |
