Press Release: Haryana Chief Minister's visit

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal is visiting China from 21-23 January, 2016 at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) under the MEA-IDCPC exchange framework .

2. Hon'ble Chief Minister was received by Minister Song Tao at the IDCPC office for a meeting and welcome banquet on 21 January. Hon'ble CM referred to the MoU signed between MEA and IDCPC in May 2015 and noted that he is the first Chief Minister to visit China under the framework after the signing of the MoU. CM also welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest in Haryana and invited Minister Song Tao to visit Haryana for the Global Investors Summit in March. Minister Song Tao said that India-China relations have developed in an all-round manner and called for further pushing forward provincial and state level engagement.

3. Hon'ble CM was hosted by Chairman of Wanda Group Mr. Wang Jianlin at the Wanda Headquarters today in Beijing. Haryana and Wanda Group concluded an understanding for establishment of a world class industrial park in Haryana by the Wand Group that on completion is anticipated to have a total investment value of $10 billion. Wanda will also attract other international and Chinese industrial, tourism and residential companies to invest in the development.

4. A business forum on the Global investment Summit in Haryana in March and the Make in India week in Mumbai in February was also held in the forenoon addressed by Hon'ble Chief Minister. It was attended by about 230 Chinese business and media participants. Vice Minister of IDCPC Mr. Chen Fengxiang also delivered a speech on the occasion. Six MoUs were signed with China Fortune Land Development (CFLD) and its business partners to explore investment projects in Haryana. Hon'ble Chief Minister also had a closed door roundtable meeting with 11 potential investors, including CFLD. Later in the day, Hon'ble CM and the delegation visited CFLD's flagship industrial project Gu'an New Industrial City, 50 Kms from Beijing.
