Press Release: Visit of 200 member youth Delegation 06/19/2016

A 200 member Youth Delegation from India is visiting China from 17th to 25th June 2016. The delegation comprising of youth leaders, students, entrepreneurs, sportsmen, young achievers and officials from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is led by Charge d'Affaires Dr. B Bala Bhaskar in China.

The delegation was given a welcome reception by the Embassy of India on 17th June 2016. Speaking on the occasion, Charge d'Affaires Dr. B Bala Bhaskar highlighted the importance of people to people exchanges as the bedrock of any bilateral relationship and the importance of youth exchanges to promote people to people linkages between India and China. Being future leaders , Excange of youth delegation will help share their thoughts, aspirations and the dreams with their counter parts,so that a shared vision can be evolved for shaping a deeper partnership between India and China in the years to come.

During their time in China the delegation will visit different cities like Chengdu, Guilin, Dongguan，Guangzhou, Xian, Nanjing and Shanghai in addition to Beijing. The focus of their visit will be to study developments in the fields of agriculture,education,sports, urban planning, culture and entrepreneurship. During the visit, the delegation will interact with Chinese Youth, Academia, entrepreneurs and business leaders, local leaders and non-governmental organizations to gain a deeper insight into developments in China and their relevance for India.

The delegation will return to India on 25th June 2016.
