Vibrant Gujarat Roadshow organised

Embassy of India in Beijing, in association with the Government of Gujarat organized a "Vibrant Gujarat Roadshow" on 17 October 2016 in Beijing.

Charge d' Affaires, Embassy of India Mr. Amit Narang, Principle Secretary,Government of Gujarat, Mr. Sanjay Prasad and Executive, "Invest India", Mr. Divay Pranav and representatives of more than 160 leading companies/ Industry Associations from India and China participated in the Roadshow.

Presentations were made on 'Investment Opportunities in India' and 'Vibrant Gujarat 2017', followed by a Question and Answer session.

On behalf of the Government of Gujarat, Principal Secretary Mr. Sanjay Prasad invited Chinese companies to actively take part in the 8th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to be held from 10-13 January 2017 in Gujarat. Mr. Sanjay Prasad highlighted textiles, automobiles, auto mobile components and renewable energy as main areas of focus for investments. Mr.Divay Pranav highlighted opportunities in various under the 'Make in India' programme and emphasized the significant role that the Goods and Services Tax reform would play in boosting economic development.

Major Chinese companies like China Railway Engineering Corporation, TBEA, China Pacific Construction Group, SANY Heavy Industry Limited, Xiaomi Mobile Limited,Great Wall Motor and China Railway Investment Limited (HK), among others, took part in the event. The event saw agreements being signed on promoting Waste to Energy projects between Government of Gujarat and Dynagreen Company Limited,and, Government of Gujarat and Government of Liaoning Province on enhancing cooperation.

Vibrant Gujarat Roadshows will also be held in Shanghai on 18 October,Guangzhou on 19 October, Shenzhen on 20 October and Hong Kong on 21 October 2016.
