“梵天东土 并蒂莲华":公元400-700 年印度与中国雕塑艺术展

The Gupta Empire ruled over ancient India from the 4th-7th century CE. Known as the Golden Age of Indian history, the Gupta era produced superb artists,scientists, mathematicians, and sculptors. During the Gupta era, the “Dharmaratna Road” connecting India with Central Asia and China became a channel for artistic and intellectual exchanges which enriched the history and heritage of India, China, and the world.

The exhibition of Gupta Art at the Palace Museum in Beijing, titled "Across the Silk Road: Gupta Sculptures and their Chinese Counterparts, 400-700 CE" features 56 Indian sculptures from this brilliant era, gathered from 9 museums in India. The exhibition will continue in Beijing from 28th September to 28th December 2016, and will travel to Fujian Museum from 28th January to 31st April 2017, to Zhejiang Museum from 1st June to 31st August 2017, and Sichuan Museum from 1st October to 31st December 2017.

公元4-7 世纪,古印度由笈多帝国统治,开创了笈多时代。这段时期在印度历史上被称为“黄⾦金时代”,孕育了 多位杰出的艺术家、科学家、数学家和雕刻家。在笈多时代,连通印度与中亚和中国的“法宝之路”成为艺术 和思想交流的通道,极⼤大地丰富了印度、中国以及世界的历史和遗产。

在北京故宫举办的“梵天东土 并蒂莲华:公元400-700 年印度与中国雕塑艺术展,展出 了来⾃印度9 家博物馆的56 件源此时期的雕刻作品。故宫博物院将于2016 年9 月28 日-2016 年12 月28 日在故宫午门举办此笈多艺术展,展览还将巡展至福建(2017 年1 月28 日-4 月31 日)、浙江(2017 年6 月1 日-8 月31 日)和四川(2017 年10 月1 日-12 月31 日)。
