Travellers to India may please note that Indian currency notes of denominations of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 1000/- issued prior to November 8, 2016 are no longer valid as legal tender. For their convenience, therefore, all travellers to India are advised to carry with them sufficiently funded international credit/debit cards for use while in India.
