Call for Research Thesis for BRICS Economic Research Annual Award (BRICS Award) 04/18/2017

Exim Bank is a Government of India owned export credit agency, tasked by the Parliament of India to finance, promote and facilitate India’s international trade. Exim Bank is the nominated member development bank under the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Interbank Cooperation Mechanism and a signatory to the multilateral cooperation agreement signed along the member development banks of member nations of BRICS.

With a view to encourage and stimulate advanced economic research in international economics, trade, development, and related financing at universities and academic institutions in the BRICS countries, Exim Bank has instituted the BRICS Economic Research Annual Award (BRICS Award). This initiative represents the Bank’s ongoing efforts at promoting economic research and analysis, thereby contributing to policy formulation.

Research thesis of nationals of any of the five member nations of BRICS, who have been awarded Doctorate or who have submitted thesis for a Doctorate from any recognized nationally accredited University or academic institution globally, during the period January 2012 to March 2017, are eligible to participate and receive the Award.

The Award comprises a Citation and prize money of approximately USD 20,000 which is sponsored by Exim Bank. The last date of sending entries is May 10, 2017. More information about the award is available at www.eximbankindia.in/awards .
