Press Release: Indian IT Companies Delegation Visit to China

A delegation of Indian Information Technology Companies led by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) will be visiting China from 22nd to 28th May 2017. The delegation comprises a number of Indian companies with proven capabilities in niche areas like Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics.

The purpose of the visit is to realize the existing complementarities between India’s IT prowess and China’s manufacturing and explore the possibilities for companies from China and India to work together to co-create and develop world-class products for the global market.

In the course of their visit to China, the delegation will visit Beijing and Guiyang, Guizhou Province. In Beijing, the delegation will meet officials from Chinese Government agencies like the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to discuss potential areas for future cooperation. The delegation will have separate round table meetings with private Chinese companies and State Owned Enterprises. The delegation will also interact with the Chinese industry associations in the IT sector like the China Software Industry Association (CSIA) and the Beijing Association of Sourcing Service (BASSCOM). In order to gain a better understanding of Chinese manufacturing capabilities, the delegation will also undertake site-visits to the factories of Beijing Automotive Group Company Limited and Changan Motors in Beijing.

The delegation will then head to Guiyang to attend the 2017 China International Big Data Industry Expo to be held from 25th to 28th May 2017. The 2017 China International Big Data Industry Expo is being co-organized by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), China State Internet Information Office and Guizhou Provincial Government.

Guizhou has been nominated as China’s first comprehensive Big Data pilot zone and has witnessed the rapid development of Big Data exploration, research and international Big Data Exchange. The organizers of China International Big Data Industry Expo have expressed interest in collaborating with Indian IT companies which have proven capabilities in Big Data, Cloud Computing, Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Manufacturing, Block chain and Machine Intelligence. The delegation will look to explore areas for potential cooperation in all these sectors while participating at the 2017 China International Big Data Industry Expo.
