India Garden receives Golden Award at the Beijing International Horticulture Expo 2019

1. The National Horticulture Board of India under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India participated in the International Horticulture Exhibition, 2019, Beijing, organized by the Government of China under the theme Live Green, Live Better. The Expo was held in Yanqing District of Beijing from April 29 to October 7, 2019.

Indias entry in the Beijing Expo was submitted for an Outdoor Exhibition under the sub-theme Harmony with Nature. Contribution of India to the Beijing Expo was recognised as the India Garden at the Expo was given a Golden Award in the Outdoor Garden category in a ceremony held on October 8, 2019.

Beijing Expo 2019 was the highest-level A1 category World Horticultural Exposition hosted by the Government of China and undertaken by the Beijing Municipal Peoples Government. The Expo park covered a total area of 503 hectares and welcomed the greatest number of participating countries, with 110 countries and international organizations taking an active part in the Expo. .
