As part of the Embassy of India in Beijing, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (formerly the Indian Cultural Centre) serves as a cultural bridge between India and China. The Centre was renamed as the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre during a ceremony held on August 14, 2018, with Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Centre organizes a diverse array of activities aimed at fostering cultural exchanges in fields such as art, music, dance, and theatre.
